BETHEL
-An E-911 resources map was prepared for the municipality.

-The Council and staff received a briefing from Conn DOT and its consultants as to the Danbury Branch Rail Study Phase 2. The new information was coordinated with the proposed Route 7 Corridor Study.

-Mr. Sid, converted Tif Aerial files for use in the Public Works Department’s hand held Geo Data Collector.
-Loaded all the 2008 Plan of Conservation and Development data on the Zoning departments
laptop computers.
-Steve Palmer, Planning Dept., printed 2008 Growth Guide map for presentation at OPM meeting.
-Lt. Dickinson, Bethel Police Dept., provided comments on the review of the Hospital “H” sign plan for Bethel roadways.


BRIDGEWATER
-An E-911 resources map was prepared for the municipality.

-Ann Marie Lindblom, First Selectman’s office, provided information on the CT DOT 13b-38bb funding program for transit services for elderly and disabled persons.
-William Stuart, attended a public meeting concerning proposed improvement activities for Route 133.
-Ann Marie Lindblom, worked with Bridgewater staff to complete the Town’s grant application for CT DOT 13b-38bb funding for transit services for elderly and disabled persons.


BROOKFIELD

-A mapping of elderly concentrations was provided for Dottie Miles.
-Maureen Farrell was provided with a copy of the draft Brookfield Route 202 Pedestrian Plan.
-Sexual harassment prevention training was provided by HVCEO for 40 municipal employees.
-The Brookfield First Selectman was provided with information regarding various regional and Danbury water studies.
-A meeting was held with the Attorney General concerning regulation of land use below the 440 contour on Candlewood Lake.

-Katherine Daniel, Wetlands agent, researched DEP Sub-basins.
-Configured a digital road Test Area to test the compatibility of CT Emergency Road files with existing software.
-Sam Khanthaphizay, IT Manager, designed a Geo Data Base for the new parcel edits.
-Katherine Daniel, Wetlands Agent, provided watershed analysis for plotted subdivision.
-Robert Silvaggi, First Selectman, provided information on regional emergency management and transportation projects affecting the town of Brookfield.
-Chief Montgomery, provided information to area police chiefs on funding for emergency management activities.
-Barbara Buddington, provided information for use in the preparation of SWOT analyses for Police, Fire, Public Works and Emergency Medical Services within the Region.
-Bill Tessier, provided information for use in the preparation of Resource Typing information for the Region.
-Ron Klimas, provided information on SWOT analyses for area municipal P.W. Directors.
-Donna Culbert, discussed the content of emergency management resource maps for area public health operations.
-Chief Montgomery, provided assistance in the preparation of the SWOT analysis for police services in the region.
-Fire Chiefs, contacted 23 fire chiefs within the Housatonic Region to encourage participation in the emergency management SWOT analysis for fire services.
-Major Jay Purcell, provided assistance in examining the potential for the Brookfield Police Dept. to utilize existing digital resources and for a planned GIS program.
-Chief Montgomery, provided information to area police chiefs on the status of funding for regional emergency management activities.
-Robert Kenny, provided information to the CT DEMHS Region 5 Coordinator on emergency management activities within the region.
-Major Purcell, discussions on the implementation of a GIS program for the Brookfield Police Dept.
-Donna Culbert, provided update on regional emergency management activities and the adopted Spending Plan for DEMHS Region 5 to area Public Health Directors.
-Antonio Iadarola, provided information on regional emergency management activities to area municipal Public Work Directors.
-Carol Gould, provided information to a consultant for use in CT DOT’s Electrification Feasibility Study of the Danbury Branch Line.
-Tom Vannini, provided review and comments on a concept for a Regional Emergency Operations Plan for Region 5 to CT DEMHS Regional Planner.

REDDING

-Natalie Ketcham, First Selectman, provided information on the CT DOT 13b-38bb funding program for transit services for elderly and disabled persons.
-Police Chief Fuchs, met with Chief to discuss the administration of the 2008 Justice Assistance Grant for Local Law Enforcement (JAGLLE) activities.
-Doug Hartline, followed up on a request for funding of Redding CERT Team equipment and activities with the Statewide CERT Commission.
-Steve Gazillo, provided information to a CT DOT consultant for the Danbury Branch Line Electrification study.


RIDGEFIELD

-Rail commuting information was presented to Representative John Frey.
-Staff attended a 6/24 coordination meeting with the Ridgefield PZC regarding a Route 35 improvement.
-Richard Aarons, Emergency Mgmt. Communications Director, provided information on the regional video conference system operation.
-Rudy Marconi, First Selectman, provided information on the proposed Centralized Traffic Control system on the Danbury Branch Line for a CT DOT meeting.

SHERMAN

-Water supply protection zone information was provided to the selectman’s office.
-The regional plan’s draft open space chapter was provided to Joe Keneally.
-A meeting was held with the Attorney General concerning regulation of land use below the 440 contour on Candlewood Lake.
-Betty Ann Bloise, Zoning Department, converted the zoning map to pdf format.
-Dr. Peter Rostenberg, Friends of Quaker Brook Watershed, researched road marker signage for Rt. 22 and converted to ArcGIS symbol Library and reformatted existing map. Printed 20 copies, 11x17.
-Andrea O’Connor, First Selectman, provided assistance on the preparation of a grant application to the FEMA for the preparation of a Pre-Disaster Hazard Mitigation Plan.
-Andrea O’Connor, provided information on the CT DOT 13b-38bb funding program for transit services for elderly and disabled persons.
-Andrea O’Connor, reviewed the Town of Sherman’s grant application for CT DOT 13b-38bb funding for transit services for elderly and disabled persons.

-Robert Grossman of White Plains was provided with a report on innovative septic field approvals in Newtown.
-The H-A Group of Westport was provided with Danbury job growth data.
-The Danbury Chamber of Commerce was provided with a one hour PowerPoint presentation on transportation issues in the area.
-HVA, Kirk Sinclair, GIS Manager, provided parcel data.
-Albany, N.Y., National Weather Bureau, supplied regional public and private school data for inclusion in the spot Alert system.

Emergency Operations Center contact list.
-Andrea O’Connor, assistance was provided for the preparation of the Town of Sherman’s grant
application for ConnDOT’s 13b-38bb transit funding program for Seniors.
-Andrea O’Connor, provided update digital copies of ConnDOT’s budget forms for the Town’s
application for Section 13b-38bb grant funding for Senior bus transportation.
-Guido Tino. met with and provided information to Sherman’s Emergency Management Director.
-Andrea O’Connor, provided assistance in obtaining emergency 911 mapping for use by the
Town’s Fire Department.


BEACON FALLS
-The First Selectman was provided with background information on use of Magic Salt.


CORNWALL
-Sent 2 files, 1) semi rural remote areas from the 1997 Growth Policy and 2) Quaker Brook
Watershed.


HARTFORD
-The new water supply interconnections report was forwarded to the CT Dept. of Health.


KENT
-Staff attended two meetings in Kent concerning the GE PCB remediation funding.


NEW HAVEN
-Information on meeting procedures was forwarded to SCCCOG.
-The New Haven Regional Sewer Commission was provided with information on local water
pollution control authorities to obtain sewer ordinances.


SOUTHBURY
-Bill Stax was provided with a copy of the River Trail Plan.


TORRINGTON
-Northwest Conservation District, provided a DVD of the 2004 State flight raw data for review.


WASHINGTON
-The goals of the GO21 freight advocacy group were endorsed by the HVCEO.


WATERBURY
-HVCEO data on Info Line was updated as requested.
