This report provides an overview of traffic issues in Bethel, Connecticut as of 2005. As this is a regional perspective, it focuses upon state roads and major issues rather than the many purely local traffic concerns.

The goal of HVCEO is to centralize key information on traffic improvement needs for ease of use by all concerned. This overview may also serve as an input to the upcoming update of the Bethel Plan of Conservation and Development. A suggested list of future traffic improvements for Bethel is part of the Regional Transportation Plan.

Importantly, the results of past studies are included along with newer ones, to provide a best possible data base for future investment decisions in traffic improvement. Please proceed to the sections below:
