The top map shows Routes 6 and 7 thru Danbury in 1938. Before I-84, the center of Danbury was the main junction for such thru routes.

The second map is an excerpt from the "Official Map of Connecticut 1950" by the State Highway Department and others. It also shows how before I-84 was constructed in the sixties Routes 6, 7 and 202 were channeled thru Downtown Danbury. All three thru route are now combined with I-84 which was built north of the Downtown.
